Ludwigia octovalvis

Spindly shrub to 2 m, grows prolifically to 4m when in inundated conditions, many small seeds in cylinders following flowering.

Ludwigia octovalvis

This species of Ludwigia is a perrenial herb, can grow to 4m in swamps and boggy areas of the West and North Kimberley. It has interesting anti bacterial and anti-oxidant properties. The woody trunk and 4 petal, yellow flowers are the main feature.

The common name is Willow Primrose (Florabase).
