Small ground cover with yellow flowers in axillary positions, similar to C.novae-hollandae.

Crotalaria cunninghamii

Cork barked trunk on this 3m shrub, features hairy leaves and rattle-pods, green bird-like pea flowers. The Pilbara version of this species has the flowers on a terminal raceme. Common in the northern half of Western Australia.

Crotalaria verrucosa

Blue annual shrub to 1.5/2m, with racemes purple pea flowers. Found in the West Kimberley, and used as a green manure for landscaping.

crotalaria-novae-hollandae

Small shrub or ground cover with racemes of yellow peas followed by green changing to black pods which rattles when ripe.
